Peach Pie & Mixed Florals - A monochrome card

 Welcome back to another YEAR with Let's Craft Together Blog Hop! This months theme is MONOCHROMATIC.

I have created a simple layered card using Peach Pie as the main colour for this card.

Here's the challenge picture

Lets take a closer look at this card. I used a couple techniques to colour this card. 

The background has some gentle stamping - using the ink pad directly stamp the ink pad to your cardstock at different angles. Using the stamp pad technique again, this time stamp it with a heavier hand to create a darker shade. 

A simple but fun card to create, it was hard to stick to one colour

I was 7th in the chain for this round and have created a worded card using the mini alphabet die

Lets take a closer look at this card. I created a layered look for the background using stamps, wawtercolouring and splatters of ink.

I loved the process, it was fun and creative to just go a bit rogue. 

I cut up the panel in all directions, no plan, just cut cut cut

Carry the theme thru to the inside with lots of overlapping stamped images

Inspiring Imperfections Shaker - Card Chain Swap for Monique

I was 9th in the chain for this round and have created this shake card - I havent made one in the longest time. They're so fun.

Lets take a closer look at this card. My first thing I did was to create the front panel. Die cut the shapes out from DSP

To create a thin GOLD frame for this die cut, simply cut around the edge of the die cut with your scissors, take your time and cut as evenly as you can

For the inside, I carried the theme thru with som ink splatters from my Stampin' Blends

Triple Layer Coloured Butterfly - Card Chain Swap for Genna

I was 6th in the chain for this round and have created a beautiful colourful Butterfly card using Stampin Blends and the Beautiful Butterflies stamp set. I must give credit for this lovely colouring technique to Juli from Sunny Day Stamping, it inspired me to make some colourful butterflies myself. 

Lets take a closer look at this card. I have made this card into a Triple Layer card - offset, I love it!
The coloured parts look so striking against the white background. This card was fun and calming to create, all that colouring was therapeutic. 

 I've chosen Cherry Cobbler for my background frame colour, I'm loving how it pairs well with the other colours - Azure Afternoon, Gorgeous Grape, Daffodil Delight and Secret Sea for the outlines of the Butterflies. 

The inside continues with the theme.

Peace on Earth - Card Chain Swap for Ros

I was 10th in the chain for this round and have created a pretty Dove card using the Peace on Earth Suite - I've used the Bundle, matching DSP, Ribbon & Glimmer papers! Its got it all.

Lets take a closer look at this card. How well do these colours work. I love the deep and calmness they bring together. 

This bundle is my favourite from this years selection of Christmas ones. 

Some simple sponging on the inside using the negative of the shimmery die cuts from the front of the card. 

Get this bundle whist its still available! You'll love it and find many uses for it.
