Ocean Friends in New Colours for Lets Craft Together Blog Hop

Welcome back to another Let's Craft Together Blog Hop! This months theme is Crafty Comeback - OLD meets NEW Challenge.  I knew straight away I would be using Ocean Friends for this project. Then how to meet the new part of the challenge? What better way than to incorporate NEW InColours...and Fresh Freesia, because its so trendy still and I just love it so much!

I have created a fresh look to Ocean Friends by stamping in Cloud Cover and Fresh Freesia.
Here's the challenge details
Lets take a closer look.
This bundle has bold & detailed images for the sea creatures, usually you would use both but I really wanted a subtle look to this card so I opted for the bold image only.
I stamped around the base layer in an alternating pattern, Freesia for the crab and Cloud for the lobster. The bundle also includes some really lovely dies - coral, sea grass and tiny starfish. I die cut in the same colours and added Secret Sea and Blackberry Bliss.
The middle layer is embossed with Soft Waves, and the top layer follows the same pattern as the base layer.
To remake this card you will need:
Base: 1/2 sheet A4 Thick White Cardstock
Base Stamped Layer: 10 x 14.5cm (4"x5-3/4")
Embossed Panel: 7.5 x 5cm (3"x2")
Top Stamped Panel: 7 x 5cm (2-3/4"x2")
Coloured Cardstock for die cuts: Cloud Cover, Secret Sea, Fresh Freesia, Blackberry Bliss

Cheers and Sips Masculine Card for Lets Craft Together Blog Hop - plus a surprise card!

Welcome back to another Let's Craft Together Blog Hop! This months theme is Masculine Birthday - my favourite type of card to make. I'm surrounded by men/boys - I'm outnumbered at home. This really is my most favourite type of card to create. I feel like many people struggle to create a masculine card, I love the challenge. Keep reading till the end to see a surprise card!

I have created what I'm calling the Ice tray card. The reverse side of Stampin' Up! DSP packs are usually block colours with a slight pattern and make this pack of Celebratory Sips has the perfect background for my creation.
Lets take a closer look at this card.
Using the Cheers and Sips bundle and dsp pack, I have cut 1-1/2" squares from 2 sheets of DSP and glued them to sheet of Basic white (3-1/2 x 5-1/8"). The next frame is Timid Tiger - my new favourite orange! Then finally adhered to a Secret Sea card base.
The images are stamped and die cut in the same colours and lifted with a foam dimensional.
The inside is a collage of the same images.
I've been so looking forward to use this bundle, I'm glad I've had a chance to use it for this blog hop!
NOW for the SURPRISE! I was so inspired by this card layout I really wanted to use the reverse side of the papers I used to recreate the same card.
Heres what I created.. what do you think?
I can almost taste the summer cocktail. These colours are pretty and work so well together.
Strawberry Slush, Blackberry Bliss and Old Olive.
I never forget the inside, this time I mixed it up with stamping and embossed images.

Embrace Beautiful Gallery for July's Lets Craft Together Blog Hop

Welcome back to another Let's Craft Together Blog Hop! This months theme is RUSTIC themed.

I have created a scrappy card with strips from the DSP pack Beautiful Gallery. You could say I couldn't just pick one sheet to work with as they are ALL beautiful and rustic!

Here's the challenge picture
Lets take a closer look at this card.

I really love how the strips, although being very different still do compliment each other so well when laid out together. These strips were the 'leftovers' from a series of cards I was making - see below for the unfinished culprit cards.
The sentiment and arch dies are from this stamp/bundle - Everyday Arches
The sentiment is stamped in the new InColour Secret Sea, on Cloud Cover cardstock.
Heres the set of cards that left me with quite a few strips!
I really couldn't bring myself to cover the front with anything... the paper really does sing on its own!
Which is your favourite?
This cards design is always fun and a great way to make use of what may otherwise end up in the bin.

Silver and Gold BLING IT UP for June's Lets Craft Together Blog Hop

Welcome back to another Let's Craft Together Blog Hop! I have been MIA lately. Its been a busier than expected 2025, but I'm back now and ready to get crafty again. This months theme is BLING IT UP! Looking around my stash - which is pretty thin and empty at the moment, I struggled to think of what I would create to represent this theme.

I have created this Silver and Gold Floating Strip card, let me show you how to make it.

If you look closely you'll see both silver and gold foil sheet strips which are cut at 1/4" and 3/4" in width. The wider strips I dry embossed with the WAVES 3d emboss folder.
How great does the embossed parts look?
Your project will start here - laying out all the strips, adhere the thin ones so you can emboss the others and easily slide the back into place.
Cut off any excess.
To make it 'float' - add foam dimensionals on the thicker strips and adhere directly to your white card base.
I'm loving the embossed effect, it really pops!
Some simple stamping on the inside and a gold embossed leaf to match the front
This stamp set was easy to use, easy to fussy cut and great for embossing in Silver and Gold too.
